About this work
Commission for Museums Sheffield as part of Out of the Ordinary: Spectacular Craft Pins and domestic metal items have been used to make a carpet featuring the King’s cutlery handle design, one of the Parrish Patterns. These patterns originated in Sheffield, but their history has been largely forgotten. Using everyday objects once mass-produced in Sheffield to recreate these familiar but overlooked patterns highlights them and celebrates their beauty.
