Catherine Bertola, The Visitors Book (8-23 August 1914), 2009

The Visitors Book, responds to the more recent history of Tattershall Castle and is inspired by the discovery of the original Visitors Book in the archives of Tattershall Castle. The book dates from when the building first opened its doors to the public on the 8 August 1914 following it’s rescue and restoration by Lord Curzon.The Visitors Book was kept in the Guard House, and every visitor was required to enter their name and address, before a ticket of admission could be issued.
