Danielle Mckinney creates narrative paintings that often focus on the solitary female protagonist. In these intimate portraits, Mckinney captures the figure immersed in various leisurely pursuits and moments of deep reflection.

Danielle Mckinney (b. 1981) Lives and works in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. Mckinney received her BFA from Atlanta College of Arts and holds an MFA in Photography from Parsons School of design.  Recent solo exhibitions include: Midnight Oil, Marianne Boesky Gallery, Aspen, CO; Smoke and Mirrors, Night Gallery, Los Angeles; Saw My Shadow, Fortnight Institute, New York. Recent group exhibitions include: My Secret Garden, Asia Art Center, Taipei; and I will wear you in my heart of heart, Flag Art Foundation, New York; Friend Zone, Half Gallery, New York. Her work is in the public collection of The Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C.
