Memory sheds the deterministic cloak of linear narrative and evolves into what Marcel Proust termed a “time riot.” It is not through logical declarations but rather the secret language of the senses that we are cast into the fault lines of consciousness. Triggered by the senses, memory becomes a disorderly surge that transcends the constraints of time and logic. Just as in the vast, deep blue expanse, undercurrents flow silently yet powerfully. This exhibition endeavors to capture the spectral nature of “involuntary memory” (Mémoire involontaire). True memory cannot be actively summoned by will; instead, it is suddenly triggered by accidental sensory stimuli such as smell or touch, silently meandering through the crevices of consciousness.
